Palm Springs | Styled Shoots

If you missed it, you can read all about our time in Palm Springs here! It shows lots of behind the scenes, sponsored gifts, and all the fun we had.

But I thought it'd be fun to show the shots I got at each of the 3 styled shoots! When we first got to each location with the models, I would shoot the couple and let the attendees watch + listen as I directed them. I would be shouting at my couple what I wanted from them (so everyone could hear), and then I would shout out my camera settings, why I’m doing what I’m doing, and how. I know it’s beneficial to watch other people shoot - but it’s also beneficial to know why they’re making the artistic choices they’re making and understanding the flow of the shoot.

We shot at Joshua Tree with Justin + Kallye, and then took David + Cassie and Kyle + Kelleigh to a spot I found off the side of the road in Palm Springs! I liked that it had good views of the iconic windmills and then a mix of the desert + mountains! We shot 1-2 hours before sunset and well into blue hour (my fav!)
